3D Printing

3D printing is a manufacturing technique where a machine adds material layer-by-layer to build a part. At Kickr, we use 3D printers in a variety of applications. They can be used to directly print a plastic part, but we also use them to help create silicone molds for casting. CNC Machining

CNC, or Computer Numerical Control, milling is a common way to achieve precision parts at low volume by cutting them out of a larger piece of stock material using a computer-controlled rotary tool. At Kickr, we have multiple CNC mills that we use to cut high fidelity prototype parts out of aluminum, steel, wood, plastic, and many other materials. Molding - Silicone, Urethane, and Other Resins

Sometimes, prototype parts need to be made of materials that are not available for 3D printing or CNC machining, including rubbers and urethane. At Kickr, we can use 3D printed or CNC milled parts to create a silicone mold of the part, allowing us to re-fill the cavity with a material of your choice, like rubber or hard plastic. Electronics

Our electrical engineers are experts in hands-on assembly of the most complex electrical prototypes. At Kickr, we build functional breadboard prototypes for testing as well as hand-assemble PCBs at our shop in Atlanta. How can I be certain that my idea remains confidential?

As a cornerstone value of our company, every conversation you have with us is guaranteed confidential. We understand that you may be interested in signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with us prior to consulting about your project for peace of mind. Does Kickr Design manufacture products?

Yes, we manufacture products for our clients. Depending on the type, quantity, and materials we can offer many different options for manufacturing your product. Contact us to speak to an engineer about manufacturing your product and we will be happy to find the best option for you.

Does Kickr Design invest or take equity of my product or company?

When you develop a product with Kickr Design, you retain 100% of your company equity and Intellectual Property (IP) throughout the process. We do not currently accept either equity or IP in exchange for any of our product development services.

Do I need to already have drawings, design files, or patent information to start a project?

The only things you need to start a project are an idea and a free consultation appointment! Previous work and project resources (including doodles and napkin sketches) may help us get a better understanding of your product but are not necessary to start a project.
